Notes on the design, typography, stack, and editorial principles behind colelyons.com.
colelyons.com is a personal publication and public operating record built with Astro, MDX content collections, static rendering, Render deployment, Cloudflare DNS, and optional Cloudflare Web Analytics.
The visual direction is warm, restrained, and editorial: near-white paper, warm near-black ink, burnt orange accents, and self-hosted serif and sans-serif typography. The content model separates essays, notes, and work entries so the site can show my body of work without reading like a resume.
The site does not currently run a newsletter form. Public work and contact paths live in the homepage link trail, with email and LinkedIn as the primary direct channels.
